The Junior Racing Program ensures exposure, and development, by youngsters to the growing sport of cycling. Through training, and racing, our aspiring athletes will be afforded the opportunity to compete on a local, regional and national level.

The objective of the Superdrome Youth Development Program is, first and foremost, to ensure the participants have fun in a safe, controlled, highly supervised environment. Our primary purpose is to deliver a program which is also goal oriented, and results driven. Our staff provides motivation, encouragement, and mentoring through positive reinforcement; facilitating the development of skills and traits applicable to interpersonal relationships, citizenship, education, career and family life; positively positioning our youngsters for success in any endeavor they choose.

Weather Policy
As with other outdoor Velodromes, the answer to questions about our rain policy is that when the track is wet the track is closed
. The difficulties arise when we have to decide whether we can have racing if the weather is iffy. In those cases we'll try to make a call as early as possible. We consider when the track will most likely dry, whether there is more rain coming on the radar, and what kind of racer turnout we would have if we didn't cancel. On race nights we will post updates here and on TXBRA, we know we won't catch all of the out of city/out of state commuters before they start off for the Superdrome, but hopefully this policy will work out best for all.  Off Season Note: Must be 45 degrees Fahrenheit to open track during daylight, 55 F Evening Sessions
