Weather Policy
As with other outdoor Velodromes, the
answer to questions about our rain policy is that when the track is wet
the track is closed. The difficulties arise when we have to decide
whether we can have racing if the weather is iffy. In those cases we'll
try to make a call as early as possible. We consider when the track will
most likely dry, whether there is more rain coming on the radar, and
what kind of racer turnout we would have if we didn't cancel. On race
nights we will post updates here and on
TXBRA,
we know we won't catch all of the out of city/out of state commuters
before they start off for the Superdrome, but hopefully this policy will
work out best for all.
